Burlington County Farmers Market Begins Landmark 20th Year With Four Special Preseason Markets

Home - County News Posted on March 11, 2026

One of the nation’s favorite farmers markets is back.

The Burlington County Farmers Market returns from its winter hiatus this Saturday, March 14, for the first of four preseason market days in March and April.

From 10 AM to 1 PM, residents from across the county and region are invited to visit the Burlington County Agricultural Center at 500 Centerton Road in Moorestown to shop for their favorite early season produce, foods and crafts.

“The Burlington County Farmers Market was crowned one of the nation’s best in 2025 and we are excited about its long-anticipated return this year,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson. “The special March and April farm markets will feature many of the outstanding farms, food vendors and artists who have helped make the market a must visit destination and one of the best of its kind in the entire state.”

Among the vendors expected this Saturday are Black Sheep Farm, Pinelands Produce, Stephen Specca Farms and Lani’s Farm. They’ll be selling cold weather vegetables and other early season and greenhouse crops.

Shoppers will also find farm fresh beef, pork, lamb and seafood, local honey, eggs, microgreens, cheeses, breads, baked goods, nut butters, pastas, pickles, pierogis, sauces, jams, granolas, craft beers, spirits, coffees, teas and more.

There will be a cooking demonstration at 10 AM and live music throughout the day.

Burlington County State Senator Troy Singleton is among the regular shoppers eagerly awaiting the new season.

“Shopping at the Burlington County Farmers Market is one of my favorite weekend activities,” said Senator Singleton. “The market deserves all the recognition and accolades it has received, and I am looking forward to the early start to the 2026 season.”

In addition to this Saturday, the market will have its other preseason days on March 28, April 11 and April 25.

The market’s regular season of weekly Saturday markets will kick off on May 9 with the traditional Opening Day and Spring Garden Market from 8:30 AM to 1 PM. Traditionally, one of the biggest market days of the year, this year’s Opening Day will also feature a special celebration marking the start of the farmers market’s 20th season.

Subsequent farmers markets will be held every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1 PM rain or shine through November 14. There will also be several special theme days throughout the year and the annual holiday market in December.

“Farming has been a major part of Burlington County’s history, culture and economy and the Burlington County Farmers Market’s growth is one of our biggest success stories,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “The market helps numerous local farms and small businesses sell their crops and products, and it was voted the No. 1 farmers market in New Jersey in 2024 and the No. 4 in the nation last year. Our entire board is proud of its success, and we’re thrilled to welcome shoppers back for the start of its 20th season. We believe it will be the best one yet.”
