It's finally summer! It’s the perfect time to create a summer wreath. Design direction will be provided by from Ivy on Ocean Floral. The workshop begins with a short informational demonstration - detailing project materials, mechanics and design. You will be able to enjoy your creation inside or outside your home, using permanent flowers and foliage based on a grapevine wreath. Each participant will leave with a beautiful piece to bring summer into your home! This workshop will be held outdoors at the Burlington County Agricultural Center!

From strategies for attracting pollinators to deterring herbivores, many of these plants that can best be described as innovative, deceitful, and even murderous! In celebration of National Pollinator Week, June 21-27, join Naturalist Jen Bulava for a walk around Smith’s Woods and Smithville to look for butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds and appreciate “the little things that “run the world.” While walking, learn about the current status of pollinators and ways to help them survive. Did you ever want to try Zumba, here’s your chance! Zumba is a high energy fitness class that promotes overall wellbeing. It incorporates a variety of dance moves, promotes a healthy heart, a healthy dose of aerobic activity, great way to build and tone muscles, improve cardio, promotes flexibility and best of all decrease stress. Who’s joining in on the fun? Starting on June 3rd and every Thursday in June we will meet from 6:00 – 7:00 in our event tent on beautiful grounds of the Smithville Mansion. Registration is required, space is limited. No drop-ins allowed.

Draw from a natural setting with a natural subject matter in this outdoor workshop. The class is led by Leeannwyn Stoner who is a New Jersey resident, Syracuse University BFA Painting graduate, studied DRAW with sculptor Lawson Smith and a Hiram Gee Fellowship recipient. A working artist and Fine Art instructor, teaching and instilling the emphasize on drawing as the basis of all creative arts. During this light instructional class, Leeannwyn will discuss different types of drawing techniques and skills. All artistic levels are welcome. Feel free to bring your own drawing material or use and take home some of ours.
