Discover the incredible hunters of the insect world: the dragonflies and damselflies. This online PowerPoint presentation will focus on recognizing adaptations, behaviors, life cycles, and ecological significance of these beneficial insects. The slide show includes photographic examples of amazing species found in our Burlington County Parks, and will be available online beginning Saturday, June 20. The presentation will be posted for the remainder of the summer.

In honor of National Pollinator Week, check out this online presentation focusing on the incredible ways in which plants communicate with animals. Discover amazing strategies of plants, the colors that pollinators see, and ways in which both plants and animals can help or deceive each other. Did you know that a bee's eye view is extremely different from what we see, and from what a bird sees? Participants will find that taking a much closer look at flowers can open up an entire hidden world that is more complex and fascinating than one ever imagined. Students in the Young Naturalist Program will observe something in the same location and park of their choice one day each week, starting the week of June 29. They will report their findings and photos back to the Park Naturalists each week with the differences they observe. For ages 13-17. Registration in YNP required.

While walking the trails at Smithville Park, naturalist Kate Forte will share what wildlife species she encounters through pictures. This slide show of photos will be arranged as a flipbook and will help aid park guests with identifying these species on their own when visiting. The link to the flipbook will be available through the end of the summer.

Park Naturalists Jen and Kate will show you some of the neat animals that can be found in the lakes and rivers in Burlington County. Park Pals will receive an appropriate video for ages 5-8 and Outdoor Adventurers will receive an appropriate video for ages 9-12. Registration in Jr Ranger Program required. This program will be available beginning August 12.

Online Program! Hugh Campbell was a poet, musician, and a self-described yoga trained artist, who captured life in Burlington County in the 20th century. Campbell was not born here, but he learned to love the landscapes of Burlington County, and painted almost everywhere. The presentation will include rarely before seen works by Hugh Campbell.
