    As we wrap up the last month of the Burlington County Farmers Market, join us as we celebrate October and local fall produce. Apples are in, along with pumpkins and all varieties of squash, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, carrots, potatoes, lettuces and so much more. Artisan cheeses, fresh eggs, local honey, microgreens and mushrooms are always in season, along with local lamb, beef and pork. And don't forget about the garden! Fall is the best time to plant, so stop by for beautiful perennials. Enjoy seasonally inspired hot soups, coffee or tea and freshly made baked goods while enjoying live entertainment. Thank you for a fantastic season of supporting your local farmers and vendors. We look forward to our special holiday markets on November 21st and December 5th.     Crystal Lake Park

    Lace up your hiking boots and join Naturalist Jen Bulava on a hike at Crystal Lake. Learn about some of the interesting trees and shrubs found at Crystal Lake, some of which are not found in our other County Parks. Experience the brilliant orange and gold foliage around the lake. This hike includes some steep slopes as well as one short flat paved portion. Please wear proper footwear with treads for hiking on uneven, slippery, and root-laden terrain. This is a repeat of the October 21 program. Strict limited number of people enforced, and masks required. Register online.

    Discover the hawks, eagles, vultures, and owls that reside in Burlington County in this online photographic presentation. Learn about raptor adaptations, behaviors, migration patterns and conservation efforts to bring endangered species back from the brink of extinction. Presented by Park Naturalist Jen Bulava. This program will be available online beginning August 18.

  2. Invasive Insects Presentation

    Presented by Park Naturalist Jennifer Bulava. In this new PowerPoint presentation, learn about some of the invasive species of insects that have made their way to NJ, how to recognize them, how they got here, and what we can do to help diminish their spread. Spotted lanternfly, emerald ash borer, Japanese beetle, Hemlock wooly adelgid, gypsy moth, and brown marmorated stink bug will be highlighted. This video will be available beginning September 29 on our website. After viewing the video on your own time, join us live on Zoom for Questions and Answers sessions on September 30 at 2:30pm or October 8 at 7:30pm.

  1. Drive In Movie at Smithville Park - Transylvania

    Historic Smithville Park & Smith's Woods

    The movies are back! Transylvania will be shown on the big drive-in screen at Smithville Park in Eastampton! Stay in your car and tune the dial to the movie audio or sit directly in front of your vehicle. Space IS LIMITED. Upon arrival, vehicles will be directed to a required parking spot. This is a first come, first served event. Gates will open at 5:30 When spots are full, this Facebook page will be updated to let everyone know we are at capacity and cars will be turned away. Social distancing will be enforced. Masks are to be worn whenever you leave your car, such as when walking to the restroom area. Bring in your own snacks, no vendors will be onsite. Movie starts at 6:30 PM (or dusk). FREE family fun! We look forward to seeing everyone and ask for your cooperation in having a successful and safe drive-in movie!     Warden's House Gallery

    Jonny Buss, a handyman with the Burlington County Parks, creates abstract compositions through the use of digital data corruption, photocopy wheat paste and acrylic stenciling techniques. The aesthetic of his artwork is a commentary about the relationship between data, technology and contemporary society. Abstract Sound installations will accompany the visual art through the duration of the exhibit. Preview is available on the Burlington County Arts Facebook page.

Experience the beauty and diversity of the Rancocas Nature Center through an exhibit at the Workers House Museum and Gallery. Find out all the wonderful things the Nature Center has to offer.
