Learn about raptor adaptations, behaviors, migration patterns and conservation efforts to bring endangered species back from the brink of extinction. Presented by Park Naturalist Jen Bulava.   2. 44th Annual Art Show

    The most anticipated art show of the year welcomes a plethora of outstanding artists that are featured at the Annex Gallery throughout the fall.  Typically, this exhibit is very competitive and draws thousands of visitors.  This year, due to COVID-19 closures, the show will be displayed in the gallery and online.

  3. Invasive Insects Presentation

    Presented by Park Naturalist Jennifer Bulava. In this new PowerPoint presentation, learn about some of the invasive species of insects that have made their way to NJ, how to recognize them, how they got here, and what we can do to help diminish their spread. Spotted lanternfly, emerald ash borer, Japanese beetle, Hemlock wooly adelgid, gypsy moth, and brown marmorated stink bug will be highlighted. This video will be available beginning September 29 on our website. After viewing the video on your own time, join us live on Zoom for Questions and Answers sessions on September 30 at 2:30pm or October 8 at 7:30pm.

  4. Species Spotlight (online video)

    Learn about various species that call Burlington County Parks home! Every other Wednesday, Naturalist Kate will post a new video on our Programs and Events webpage that highlights a local species to better understand their behaviors, natural history and/or significance in the environment. This month will focus on great blue herons and goldenrods.

  5. Tuesday Talk

    October 13, 2020, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Pennington Park

    A series of nature walks led by Naturalist Jen Bulava on select Tuesdays and Fridays. This program will repeat on Friday October 16. Mid-October is a great time to look for birds of prey, as well as some of the other later migratory birds such as kinglets, palm warblers and waterfowl. Join us for a guided walk through the mixed habitats of open field, marsh, and forest edges to hopefully get a glimpse of some of these species. Strict limited number of people enforced, and masks required.
