Block printing is the oldest form of printmaking. It’s a great way to make bold, graphic illustrations that can be repeated. We will be working with linoleum which makes this process an affordable and approachable medium. We will talk about transferring images to your block, carving techniques, and mark making. Students will leave with a small edition of prints which can be used to make book covers or greeting cards, and the skills to work on their own at home. No previous experience required. These intricate artworks can range in height from a couple of inches to a few feet. Among the works he has created, you will see one-of-a-kind robot-like figures, garden art, clocks, and even steampunk-inspired pieces.

June 22 – August 26. Reception: July 8, 5-7 pm Lights dim, and the audience erupts with a deafening roar as the band walks out of fog and darkness. The crowd thrusts forward, and the energy rises like a storm surge, bodies lift into the air and crash down in front of the stage. Poised in the center of all the madness is a photographer capturing the split-second world that lives within the flicker of light and shadow. This exhibit will allow you to glimpse through the lens of a select few that brave the chaos in the crowd.
