The Burlington County Engineering Office announced that road resurfacing work on a just over 2-mile portion on Monmouth Road, also known as County Route 537, is scheduled to begin on Oct. 26.
The repaving project calls for pavement milling and overlay on the road between County route 670 to just west of Applegate Road in Springfield Township. The work is expected to take two weeks to complete.
Traffic on the road will be maintained, but motorists are expected to experience delays and are encouraged to find alternative routes during the work periods.
American Asphalt Co. Inc., of West Collingswood, is performing the road work as part of the County’s State Funded Overlay Program.
A total 28.1 miles of roadway in 17 municipalities is planned to be resurfaced through a combination of State and County funding.
