Burlington
County Freeholder Daniel O’Connell announced that the Burlington County Animal
Shelter is teaming up with NBC10’s Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, August
17. The one-day event will take place at the Burlington County Animal Shelter
from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. On this day, all pet adoption fees will be waived to help
local families adopt a pet.
"Burlington
County is very proud be participating in the Clear the Shelters event again
this year," said Freeholder Daniel O’Connell, liaison to the Animal
Shelter. “NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with hundreds of
shelters across the county to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet
adoption drive to help find loving homes for animals in need. Since 2015, more
than 250,000 pets nationwide have been adopted as a result of this wonderful program.”
Last year, the
Burlington County Animal Shelter found 84 animals their forever homes during
this one-day event.
