Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh announced that for the upcoming week there will be a variety of events taking place in Burlington County.
“Spring has finally arrived here in Burlington County and you can tell by all of the great outdoor events we have planned,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh, liaison to the Parks Department. “We have something for everyone such as walks in our parks, story and music time, gardening and photography. Spend some time in beautiful Burlington County this week.”
Event: Signs of Spring

Enjoy the early springtime while looking for signs of plant and animal activity. Meet at the Rancocas Rd. entrance between Irick Rd. and the Westampton municipal building. Join Park Naturalist Kate for a family-friendly version of this program that will be offered at Long Bridge Park during spring break on April 24.

All About Chickens – From baby chicks to egg-laying adults, they are our feathered friends. This approximately hour-long Wednesday program will be all about chickens! Children will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that are played along to with rhythm instruments. End the session includes making a themed craft. This program is geared toward children ages 2-5, but older and younger children are welcome. Register online. Event: Wildlife Success Stories

Event: National Wild and Scenic Rivers Lecture

In honor of 2018’s 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, Jennifer Bulava, Park Naturalist, developed this presentation showcasing twelve National Wild and Scenic Rivers that she has visited. Her high-resolution imagery features landscapes, plants, and animals found in selected watersheds throughout the country. The Great Egg Harbor, Maurice, and Delaware Rivers of New Jersey will be highlighted. Event: Art Exhibit, Emerging Artists, Dual Feature: Josh Toritto and Don Stephens

Don Stephens is what you might call a Figurative Expressive Artist. Earning his education through Tyler School of Arts, he is also in communicator in the US Marine Corps Reserve.
