Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh announced that for the upcoming week there will be a variety of events taking place in Burlington County.
“Spring is a wonderful time to not only go on a hike and take in the beauty of nature, but to appreciate the visual arts as well,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh, liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation. “This week we have a variety of art exhibits showcasing the talents of local artists right here in Burlington County.”
Event: Tuesday Talk

It’s spring! – Celebrate the seasonal changes that the end of winter brings. This approximately hour-long program will focus on the Spring season. Children will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that are played along to with rhythm instruments. This program is geared toward children ages 2-5, Register online. Getting the Garden Ready, Seed Starting - This gardening program for preschoolers accompanied by an adult, focuses on gardens and plants, worms, mud, seeds, and work in the garden throughout the spring. Like to hike, but don’t like doing it alone? Come out for a brisk hike in nature at the perfect time to enjoy spring’s awakening. How many of us consider our backyards as being part of a larger ecosystem – where the addition of native plants, especially trees and shrubs can enhance the ecological value of your landscape? The presentation will define a “yard ethic” and look at the importance of native trees, shrubs, and plants to local wildlife.
Event: Art Exhibit, Emerging Artists, Dual Feature: Josh Toritto and Don Stephens

Rotating exhibits featuring works by different artists will be presented at the Wardens House in historic downtown Mount Holly. Each artist will be featured for a six-week exhibit in order to highlight their outstanding work. Joshua is an artist who has received his education through the Perkins Center of the Arts. Don Stephens is what you might call a Figurative Expressive Artist. Earning his education through Tyler School of Arts, he is also in communicator in the US Marine Corps Reserve. Event: Art Exhibit 2019 Teen Arts State Touring Exhibit

This exhibit will include artwork deemed to be the best of the best created by students participating in the 2018 NJ Teen Arts Festivals. Event: Banquet for Birds & Blooms Fundraiser

Location: Mount Holly Moose Lodge
Join Rancocas Nature Center supporters for an evening of informal socializing and entertainment at the Mount Holly Moose Lodge on Woodlane Road in Westampton. The event will be catered by Christopher’s Deli and Catering (with Vegetarian options). The evening will include a DJ, dancing, a 50/50 raffle, and a gift basket raffle. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Friends of the Rancocas Nature Center. Tickets are available at the center or by mail. Donation: $35/per person ($45/per person after March 15th).

MOUNT HOLLY IN THE MID-20TH CENTURY THROUGH THE EYES OF HUGH H. CAMPBELL - Hugh H. Campbell was a man of many talents. He expressly captured his own view of Mount Holly via his paintbrush.
