Intro to Improv

Improv continues to be one of the fastest growing performing arts in the US. It’s in movies, TV shows, Broadway, and now right here in Burlington! ComedySportz, the longest-running show in Philadelphia history, is bringing its Intro to Improv Workshop this summer to Burlington County Parks. This workshop is a great way for individuals to find their creative side, regardless of their performing experience.

We'll teach you the basics: agreement (“yes, and-ing”), active listening, commitment, working as a team, taking risks, and being present in the moment, and then apply those skills to some of our favorite games like Try That On For Size, Dr. Know It All, and Advice Panel.

You'll learn how to improvise in an inclusive and welcoming environment and have lots of fun doing it. No two classes will ever be the same!
