Urban Forestry: “Alien Invaders”

Thursday, January 30, 2020

The Spotted Lanternfly and Emerald Ash Borer are invasive insects infecting New Jersey’s trees and forests. In Burlington County, these pests have left many trees dying and dangerous. Presenter Pam Zipse is the Outreach Coordinator for the Rutgers Urban Forestry Program. She will discuss the presence of these invasive insects in NJ, how to recognize them, why they are important, and what can be done about them. Ms. Zipse is also a NJ Licensed Tree Expert, is a member of the NJ Community Forestry Council, and participates on the NJ Forest, Landscape and Agricultural Pest Roundtable. Register online. There is no charge for this program, but donations are encouraged.
