Access to Data & Maps
The Burlington County Department of Information Technology, GIS Section has been building and maintaining datasets for the County’s Geographic Information System (GIS) since 1995. Currently the County’s GIS contains tax parcel, natural resource, transportation, demographic, planning and environmental data. This information can be a great asset to tax assessors, building officials, engineers, planners, environmental commissions, fire districts, and school districts with GIS capabilities.
GIS maps and data distribution are governed by the Burlington County GIS Data Distribution Policy (PDF). Note that there is a fee for maps and for the processing of some data. Copies of pre-existing maps can be requested and custom maps can be prepared for a fee as detailed on the Request Form (PDF).
Some data is available for download from GIS data downloads.
Data that is not currently available for download can be purchased at little to no cost but may be charged a special-services processing fee as well as the cost of the transfer media used. Be aware that some data may be redacted or requests denied due to homeland security concerns. To request data, contact Merrilee Torres at 609-702-7067 or by email. You can download a GIS Data / Maps Request form (PDF). However, it is recommended that you contact us for assistance in completing the form.
