Youth/JUNIOR Police AcademIES 

The Sheriff’s Department provides two programs for children ages 7 to 12 years of age. We have split this program into a junior police academy for ages 7-9 and a youth academy for ages 10-12 years of age.  These programs  run on three consecutive Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and offers children education on safety, fire, and law enforcement subjects. Morning snacks are provided on each of the Saturday mornings.

  • Fire Safety
  • Gun Safety
  • Police Canine (K9)
  • Safety With Strangers

Classes

Youth Police Academ-  Ages 10-12 (9am-12pm, 3 consecutive Saturdays)

Junior Police Academy  -   Ages 7-9 (9am-12pm, 3 consecutive Saturdays)

Expression of Interest
