The Civil Process Unit of the department is commanded by our Chief. The unit is responsible for serving civil court orders that are issued by the New Jersey and Out-of-State Superior courts. Officers serve Foreclosures, Writs of Execution/Wages, Writs of Possession, Ejectments, Summons & Complaints, Civil Warrants, Temporary Restraining Orders, and Weapon Seizures. Officers handle Sheriff’s Sales / Foreclosure Sales Listing and Turnover of Properties, as well as assists with the Project Lifesaver battery changes & conducts searches for missing participants.
