  1. VIRTUAL WALK / RUN

    May 16, 2020, 8:00 AM - May 31, 2020, 7:30 PM

As we all know, right now, we can’t get together and have an organized walk, but we CAN still walk together! Here is your chance to join the Burlington County Parks Virtual Run/Walk Challenge in a safe environment while social distancing. The challenge is about being healthy, having fun, accomplishing personal goals, and being outside enjoying the parks or a favorite spot, on your time from whatever location you choose. Starting May 16th through May 31st, we ask that you keep track of your own miles from your walk, run, bike ride or treadmill experience. At the conclusion of this challenge, you submit the total miles that you ran or walked during that time. We’ll total up the miles to see how many miles we logged as a group. Let’s see how far we can go! Submit all miles by email to Hscotto@co.burlington.nj.us. No amount is too little or too much! You set the pace! Let us know if any family members walked with you!

Warden's House Gallery

  1. The Art of Robert Cuff

    April 2, 2020, 10:00 AM - May 24, 2020, 4:00 PM @ Warden's House Gallery

Robert has been interested in the way strong light defines spaces by producing dramatic shadows and highlights can also help to create atmospheres. He has been experimenting with that idea using street musicians he sees in center city Philadelphia and people in outdoor restaurants. The strong light helps to influence the narrative behind the figures. The subjects are representational – ranging from landscapes — which are both studio and plein aire — to figurative studies of people within environments in the city of Philadelphia. The landscapes are views from where he lives, which is along the Delaware River in Southern New Jersey. Robert’s paintings are small to mid-sized oil paintings. The paintings are executed on canvas, linen, and museum board using brushes and palette knives.
