    Join us as we dive into a history related document, photo, or artifact to discover our history, local and world-wide. Material will be provided at the time of the program. Open discussion is encouraged but not required. You may come to simply experience various viewpoints on the subject. You never know where the conversation may lead.   2. Dunmore's War

    Known to history as “Dunmore’s War,” the 1774 campaign against a Shawnee nation in the Ohio Country marked the final time an American colonial militia took to the field in His Majesty’s service. The campaign is often neglected in histories, despite its major influence on the conduct of the Revolutionary War that followed. Presented by award winning author, Glenn Williams. Mr. Williams is the historian at the U.S. Army Center of Military History. The presentation is sponsored by the American Revolution Roundtable of South Jersey. There is a $5 fee for non-members. Registration is requested.

    During this approximately hour-long program, children will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that are played along with rhythm instruments. This program is geared toward children ages 2 - 5 year accompanied by a parent or guardian, but siblings are welcome. There is no charge for this program, but ?participants need to be Rancocas Nature Center members. Series continues March 24, April 7, 21, May 19.

    Bill began making paper collages in his late teens. They are made from pictures and photographs found in various magazines, calendars and books. He arranges them to form another picture that flows into the next and never knows what the outcome will be. This simplistic approach has led him to make many complex pieces over the years and all are diverse. Bill enjoys piecing them together and the time and concentration involved.     Come see an array of talented artist creations. Some of the works on display will include blankets, hats/scarves; lap robes, afghans, prayer shawls, chemo caps and assorted holiday favors for children. It’s an opportunity to highlight this craft and to help it flourish into the future by sharing skills across generations. The guild was founded in 1995 in Willingboro, New Jersey, the guild was created to share information, skills and patterns with all who were interested. In addition, it would provide a chance for relaxing with social interaction and was a good way to keep physically active both mind and body. Thousands of items, over the years, have been donated to people in need through various local/national organizations, charities and hospitals. Gallery hours are Thursday - Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM and Sunday, Noon - 4 PM
