Visit Historic Smithville Park to see works by the talented teens of Burlington County. Schools throughout the region will be represented. This will be a great opportunity for students, families and the community to see the artwork in a gallery setting. Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 10-4; Sunday 12-4. Rotating exhibits featuring works by different artists will be coming this Spring to the Wardens House in historic downtown Mount Holly. Featured in this exhibit is the work of Lawrence Davis. Lawrence’s work reflects the timelessness of Americana in the form of landscapes and barnscapes. His work reflects that of the "Brandywine Valley" School of painting made popular by the Wyeth Family and Howard Pyle.

Through May, we will be hosting a display featuring photographs, natural history items and books, and preserved animal mounts, all from Rancocas' permanent collection of artifacts. Do you want to be part of a citizen science project to help Burlington County Parks gain important and useful data? Join Park Naturalist Kate Szostak as she conducts frog and toad call surveys to collect new data for the Parks. Attending the “Amazing Amphibians” program at the Burlington County Lyceum of History and Natural Sciences on March 13 is recommended to learn frog and toad calls, but not required. Registration online is required. Limit 10 people.

“Bugs” – It’s the season to see insects and their kin in all habitats. This Friday indoor and outdoor program gets its weekly theme from a storybook! Geared for preschoolers ages 3-5 accompanied by a parent or guardian, each session will include the reading of a nature-themed picture book and a short weather dependent hike. Register online. There is no charge for this program, but participants must be Rancocas Nature Center members.

Smithville Park will be hosting its first Drive-In movie on May 24. “Grease” will be featured on the big screen at 8 PM. Event is free! Grab your friends and the family and enjoy an old fashioned drive-in movie! Audio will be available through your car speakers or you may bring chairs and sit up front! Snack vendors on site.
