Bundle up, get everyone out of the house, and have some quality family time. Take a Rancocas-led hike and enjoy nature-inspired stories along the trails. The hike is family-friendly, and appropriate for ages 4 and up. Register online. There is no charge for this program, but participants need to be Rancocas Nature Center members.

Artwork in this exhibit will be featured in our Annex Gallery alongside the meticulously decorated Smithville Mansion. Gallery hours are Thursday - Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM and Sunday, Noon - 4 PM

The Historic Smithville Mansion during the holiday season is absolutely beautiful. And, the absolute best time to see the mansion and its décor is in the evening by candlelight! Tour each of the elaborately decorated rooms, each showcasing different traditions of Christmas celebrations around the world as the tour’s theme is “Christmas Around the World”. Tours end with light refreshments. Candlelight tours are popular and reservations are required. Cost: $14 for adults and $12 for students. When Art Smith moved to Mount Holly from Phoenix two years ago, he was immediately attracted to the waters of the creek and to those of the mill race. His first paintings here were of the Rancocas and he has continued to explore this subject with sketches and acrylic paintings. At the same time, Art became interested in the work of Mount Holly painter, Hugh Campbell. Art was inspired by his artistic interpretations of New Jersey landscapes, buildings, but most specifically, the Rancocas. Several of his paintings of the creek have been a visual reference for Art’s paintings. These paintings of the Rancocas Creek are his visual response to the beauty of these waters.
