Spring migration season is just around the corner. Bring your binoculars and head out on our trails in search of avian species. Leaders are established birders and have their own styles. Learn new skills, pick up some tips, and/or just enjoy some local birding with someone familiar with our trails. Meet at the kiosk in the Rancocas parking lot. A series of nature programs led by Naturalist Jen Bulava on select Tuesdays and Fridays. This program will repeat on Friday May 11. The topic this week will focus on the wide diversity of migratory birds found in the park at this time. Many species will be arriving and staying for the spring and summer to nest, while others are only passing through on their way to northern breeding grounds.

The Burlington County Parks System offers story time geared for children ages 2-5 years old, two times per week. Children will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that children play along to with rhythm instruments. Each session also includes an age-appropriate craft. Tuesdays at the Rancocas Nature Center and Thursdays at the Worker’s House Gallery at Smithville.
