    The osprey, also known as the fish hawk, was once nearly extinct in our area. Celebrate this bird of prey by learning about its natural history, its success story, and the people who played a role in returning the osprey back from the brink of extinction. Includes a nature walk and visuals. Osprey sightings are not guaranteed. Please bring binoculars and a camera if you wish.

  1. Learn the Art of Archery and Meet Burlington County Park Rangers

    Come on down and spend a fun, challenging, maybe even thrilling morning learning a modern spin on an ancient sport. You'll be amazed at just how much fun you can have. The program is for the public and absolutely no equipment or prior archery experience is required. A one-time insurance waiver form and range safety talk are required prior to being allowed to shoot. Must be at least 10 yrs old to shoot. Age 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration is not required. Cost: $15 for ages 14 and above. $10 for ages 10 to13 and full time students with school ID or current report card. For more information, contact Gerry DeCaro (732) 673 2065.

    Spring migration season is just around the corner. Bring your binoculars and head out on our trails in search of avian species. Leaders are established birders and have their own styles. Learn new skills, pick up some tips, and/or just enjoy some local birding with someone familiar with our trails. Meet at the kiosk in the Rancocas parking lot. Photos to be considered must be shot in one of Burlington County’s Parks. 12 winners will be selected and each winning photo will be featured as a calendar page in a future Burlington County Parks program guide. Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 10-4; Sunday 12-4.Art Intake Dates to submit entries: Friday, April 27th, 12-4pm & Saturday, April 28, 12pm-4pm. Limit: 3 photos per artist, $10 per photo entry fee.
