Through May we will be hosting a display featuring photographs, natural history items, books, and preserved animal mounts--all from Rancocas' permanent collection of artifacts. A series of nature programs led by Naturalist Jen Bulava on select Tuesdays and Fridays. This is a repeat of the Tuesday May 8th program. The topic this week will focus on the wide diversity of migratory and resident birds found in the park at this time. Many species will be arriving and staying for the spring and summer to nest, while others are only passing through on their way to northern breeding grounds.

Rancocas Pathways, in association with The Rancocas Nature Center, invites you on a unique, guided kayaking excursion on the tidewaters of the Rancocas Creek along the Rancocas State Park Bluewater Trail. There is much to discover while enjoying the experience of kayaking and viewing local habitat and wildlife from the water. Skilled guides discuss kayak safety, interpret natural history and tidewater ecology, and ID wildlife found in a NJ State Natural Area. Trip leaders: Rancocas Pathways. Cost: $60, includes insurance, kayak, paddle, life vest, snack, and a 20% donation to The Rancocas Nature Center. Showcase the hidden gems found throughout the Burlington County’s parks system. Creativity is a must. Highlight a different view, a new angle, your favorite location, or even time of day. Capture something that shows why your parks are important and a place for all to appreciate. Photos to be considered must be shot in one of Burlington County’s Parks. 12 winners will be selected and each winning photo will be featured as a calendar page in a future Burlington County Parks program guide. Gallery hours: Thursday-Saturday 10-4; Sunday 12-4.Art Intake Dates to submit entries: Friday, April 27th, 12-4pm & Saturday, April 28, 12pm-4pm. Limit: 3 photos per artist, $10 per photo entry fee.
