Do you know a student who is interested in nature and birds? This club is a new program being offered by Naturalists from Burlington County Parks and the Rancocas Nature Center for students in grades 5 and up. Members will take part in building observational skills while joining naturalists and other birding mentors on fun field trips. This session, our first meeting, will be organizational where we will discuss our field trips and go over some handy tips for birding do’s and don’ts. An adult must be present with students ages 12 and under for the duration of the program. Adults are welcome and encouraged to attend with students ages 13+.

Help keep our environment clean and green! Participate in cleaning up litter that has made its way into this park. Volunteers are needed. Individuals, groups, and organizations are welcome. Bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided along with light refreshments and a water jug to refill your reusable water bottle. During this geology walk, participants will look at and learn about the local rock used to construct the Historical Prison and other early buildings of Mount Holly. We will climb up Mount Holly and discuss the geology that created the Mount. Led by Pierre Lacombe, retired USGS geologist. Meet at the Historic Prison Museum.
