Chinese New Year-Year of The Rat – The Chinese New Year is celebrated with a themed parade and 2020 is the Year of the Rat. During this approximately hour-long program children, will enjoy hearing 3 short stories read aloud, separated by 3 songs that are played along with rhythm instruments. This program is geared toward children ages 2 - 5 years accompanied by a parent or guardian, but siblings are welcome. Register online. The Spotted Lanternfly and Emerald Ash Borer are invasive insects infecting New Jersey’s trees and forests. In Burlington County, these pests have left many trees dying and dangerous. Presenter Pam Zipse is the Outreach Coordinator for the Rutgers Urban Forestry Program. She will discuss the presence of these invasive insects in NJ, how to recognize them, why they are important, and what can be done about them. Ms. Zipse is also a NJ Licensed Tree Expert, is a member of the NJ Community Forestry Council, and participates on the NJ Forest, Landscape and Agricultural Pest Roundtable. Register online.
