TITLE: Maintenance Repairer - Parks

This position is responsible for park maintenance and repair duties.

Under supervision, performs routine building maintenance and repair tasks of park system; including carpentry, electrical, masonry, mechanical, plumbing, and other work. Maintains and repairs park buildings, facilities, and infrastructure including benches and fences; participates in event set-up and breakdown; operates and performs minor maintenance on a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery used to care for and maintain facilities; performs custodial, bathroom cleaning, trash management and other related maintenance duties as required.

Work hours: M-F 7am - 3:30 pm plus mandatory and voluntary overtime; this is an essential personnel position.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience Requirement

Six (6) years of experience in the oversight of sewer system programs and operations or related municipal utilities or public works construction and/or maintenance programs, four (4) years of which shall have included responsibility for the preparation of budgets, management of supervisory staff, and oversight of organizational programs and activities.

NOTE: A master’s degree in civil, sanitary or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the non-supervisory experience.

Licensure Requirement

Appointees may be required to possess a license of the appropriate grade/level to operate a public sewage treatment plant and/or a water treatment plant, issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Confers with various governmental officials and administrators concerning fiscal requirements, changes in organizational policy, pertinent regulations, and other problems affecting the organization.
Prepares reports on construction costs, time spent, and materials used.
Consult with general contractors on construction projects, maintenance of plants, equipment, and/ or operations.

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to represent the Authority in contract negotiations as a competent professional and in securing desired compliance and cooperation
Ability to evaluate engineering plans and specifications; able to estimate costs and requirements and to monitor the timely completion of projects.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience including preparation and review of engineering plans and specifications.
Engineer degree in Civil Engineer, science, or environmental engineering.

The Burlington County Department of Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health has a fulltime opening for the position of IDRC (Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center) Account Clerk/Receptionist.

Duties:

Receive callers in person and via phone, determine their reasons for contacting the office, provide them with the required information according to department procedures and, as is possible, sees that the desired objectives are achieved.

Written skills required for accurate and professional documentation in client records

Deal with disgruntled callers with professionalism and courtesy, escalate to the director as needed

This includes thorough review of client files- paper and electronic
Customer service skills are required

Manage all documentation stemming from these calls- letters/correspondence to and from court, the state, and the client

Issue official documentation to court and the state, follow up at intervals determined by the state

Create and maintain client charts which includes retrieving information from state databases in an efficient and orderly manner

This includes making labels and organizing by class date
Must also maintain confidentiality of these records as the information is protected by federal privacy laws (familiarity with HIPAA & US 42 CFR a plus)

Manage all incoming payments, keep record of and prepare monthly financial reports

This includes issuing receipts and refunds as needed
Maintain records of department’s income transactions
Prepare requisitions, vouchers, and bank deposits

Receives, sorts and distributes incoming letters, packages

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years of experience using standard office technology, including email, word processing, and data entry systems, required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the preparation, maintenance, and/or review and verification of financial records

Education:

Minimum associates degree in accounting, finance, or human services related field.

Salary: $45,000

Burlington County is seeking to hire a Principal Account Clerk for a vacancy within the Division of Finance and Administration.

Under direction, performs a variety of clerical duties of considerable difficulty and complexity involving computing, classifying, verifying and recording numerical data and reconciling accounts, records and documents; maintains complete accounting records; prepares and sends out invoices; follow up on accounts receivables; and other related work as required.

Burlington County Department of Corrections are seeking motivated, professional, and dedicated individuals for the position of County Correctional Police Officer. County Correctional Police Officers are responsible for the following: Under supervision, during an assigned tour of duty within an adult county correctional facility or institution, performs a wide variety of tasks in support of the safety, security and welfare of inmates, facility personnel and visitors; performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

Candidates must be 18 years of age and maintain a valid New Jerseys Driver’s license.

Must pass medical and psychological testing.

Must pass background investigation.

Special Qualifications:

Must also be able to successfully complete the following physical assessment prior to attending the police academy:

Vertical Jump – 12.5 inches or more

Sit-ups – 22 repetitions in 1 minute

Push-ups – 19 repetitions in 1 minute

300 meter run – 84 seconds or less

1.5 mile run – 19 minutes or less

Candidates must successfully complete a police training course approved by the New Jersey Police Training Commission. Such training

includes successful attainment of a satisfactory level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
