Agriculture is a key component of Burlington County’s Heritage. Burlington County Freeholders have a comprehensive land preservation program to ensure the agricultural industry of Burlington County remains protected. Nearly 857 farms produce about $87.5 million in farm gate value.
A National Leader in the production of blueberries and cranberries, and enjoying u-pick farms to cut your own trees, Burlington County’s agricultural roots remain strong.
Elizabeth White developed the high bush blueberry in Burlington County on land known as Whitesbog, that is still farmed by her relatives. Enjoy many fairs and festivals at Whitesbog, or learn about the tundra swans that winter at Whitesbog and see them in their temporary home.
