Corrections - Mission Statement
Jails, like all modern Penal Institutions, have two functions with reference to persons committed for custody. First, the jail carries on its primary functions, to properly hold persons pending court action whom are legally committed to the jail. Secondly, whenever possible every effort should be made to treat those committed to offering such treatment that will assist the individual toward rehabilitation and a successful re-integration back into the society that we all live in.
Appointed by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders; the Jail Administrator, also referred to as "Warden", is in complete charge of the Administration of the jail facilities which includes all Correctional Personnel, Contract Service Personnel and any other employee working directly within the institutions.
