Lessons From “Albion’s Seed”

Wednesday, May 18, 2022

In 1989, David Hackett Fischer published his book “Albion’s Seen: Four British Folkways in America.” This epic 1,000-page book examines how four distinct British cultures influenced society in the colonies. The Puritans, Planters, Border landers, and Quakers came from different areas of Britain, and the cultural differences that came with that have had a lasting significance on American society.
