Sheriff's Department offers Photo ID Cards and Emergency Cell Phones to Senior Citizens

Posted on June 8, 2015 at 12:16 PM by Andrew Hull

The Sheriff’s Department will provide a color photo ID card to seniors with proper identification, in order to have a secondary means of photo ID along with a regular state or federal photo ID card.  These cards can include information such as emergency contacts, allergies and illnesses, living will, and organ donor.  ID’s can be picked up at the following locations:

County Administration Building
49 Rancocas Road

2nd Floor, Room 223
Mount Holly, NJ 08060
Call (609) 265-3788 to schedule an appointment

County Corner at Moorestown Mall
400 Route 38
Moorestown, NJ 08057
Call (856) 642-3833 for more information and to schedule an appointment

The Sheriff’s Senior ID Card may not be accepted alone as a single form of ID.

The Senior Services Unit of the Sheriff’s Department also takes donations of used cell phones in order to provide seniors with a resource to call 9-1-1 while they are out or away from a landline.  The phones are tested and the personal information is removed before the phones are distributed.  The phones can be obtained for free by calling (609) 265-3788 and picked up on the 2nd floor (Room 223) of the Burlington County office at 49 Rancocas Road in Mount Holly.
