Crystal, Rocks and Minerals Event Tomorrow, March 12th
Did you know that a tiny sliver of quartz when part of an integrated electronic circuit will vibrate at such a regular frequency over the course of years that it can and is used to regulate most watches manufactured today? Did you know New Jersey does not have a state mineral, and there is a raging controversy over which of two minerals will win the title?
Presented by Gary Weinstein of Gary’s Gem Garden, Cherry Hill, N.J. Discover interesting facts and folklore at this illuminating program about crystals, rocks and minerals, with samples you can hold and examine. Gary will talk about their formations and uses in everyday life. “Kids from 8-80 will enjoy and learn from it.”
