BURLINGTON COUNTY SURROGATE’S COURT
NOTICE
The Burlington County Surrogate’s is open and staffed to conduct normal business operations on an appointment basis. Business is being conducted in-person, via telephone, e-mail, regular mail and Drop Box.
The Drop Box, labeled “Burlington County Surrogate’s Court Filings” is located inside the entrance to 50 Rancocas Road, Mt. Holly, New Jersey on a table outside of the entrance to our office and is available from 8:30 am. to 4:30 pm. Monday through Friday. There are also a drop boxes for the County Clerk’s Office and the Superintendent of Elections at that location, please be sure to use the Drop Box marked “Burlington County Surrogate’s Court Filings”.
Probate and Administration appointments will be in-person for all personal representatives who reside in the State of New Jersey.
All record searches are also done on an appointment basis.

The Advanced Directives for Health Care is a booklet that enables an individual to designate medical treatment and procedures when you are unable to communicate with your physician. It also allows you to designate an individual to be your health care representative. The New Jersey Commission of Legal and Ethical Problems in the delivery of Health Care published this booklet containing living will forms.

Welcome to the Burlington County Surrogate’s Court. As the Surrogate of Burlington County, I am pleased to present this website to assist our residents. The many duties of the Surrogate’s Court include the probating of wills, appointing of estate administrators, supervising the appointment of guardians and administering adoptions. My responsibility as Surrogate is to oversee the administration of the many services offered by this Surrogate's Court. My team and I will work to make the emotionally difficult experience that can be associated with the Surrogate’s Court a professional and sensitive experience.
