Meals on Wheels

609-702-7053

Burlington County Meals on Wheels program provides a home-made, well balanced and nutritious meal to home bound county residents who are 60 years of age or older. The goal of our program is to enhance quality of life through good nutrition and provide a one-on-one encounter with clients by our drivers to assure well-being. Our menus are developed and approved by a dietitian and a chef and meet 1/3 of the recommended daily intake. A balanced diet is strongly linked to better health outcomes in seniors. We offer both regular and diabetic diets.

Voluntary Monetary Donations can be made to:

Attention: Meals on Wheels

Prospective clients are interviewed to determine their need and eligibility for Meals on Wheels. The eligibility is based on age, inability to prepare meals for yourself or have family or other support systems available to do it for you. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 9 AM to 3 PM. Meals on Wheels clients must be home to receive the meal but special circumstances such as radiation, chemotherapy or dialysis are exceptions.

Our program is not based on income but we accept donations based on your income vs. expenses. No person is turned away because of inability to pay.

*Food Stamps are not accepted.
