The Burlington County Minority and Equality Rights Task Force was established to help combat systemic racism and support equality for all, no matter race, color, gender, nationality, religion or sexual orientation. The Burlington County Minority and Equality Rights Task Force is to provide an open and candid forum where members can have a meaningful conversation about minorities, racism and equality.
The Burlington County Minority and Equality Rights Task Force provides a dialog to move towards better communication promote education as it relates to racism in Burlington County, the State of New Jersey and the nation.
The mission is to advise the development of policies; make recommendations for the development of policies, procedures and programs that will aid in the prevention and elimination of all types of discrimination in Burlington County; make recommendations to the Burlington County Board for the development of policies and procedures in general and for programs of formal and informal education that will aid and eliminate all types of discrimination based on race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry or age.
